Happy Friday ya'll!!! I don't know about you but I am so excited for the weekend! This week was one of those that seemed to go on forever, might have been due to my attempt at cutting down on my copious caffeine intake. Seriously though, it's an issue, we're talking eight or so cups a day! After reading an article from the even amazing TNT, a sister in true coffee love, I decided to follow her lead down the brave path of cutting back...YIKES! Not gonna lie, it was a bit rough, I just love everything about coffee so much; the taste, smell, heck even just going into the coffee shop around the corner from our house is a joy. But I stuck it out, I did find get a treat in a substitute that I discovered; a combination of matcha powder, turmeric, black pepper, coconut oil, and coconut milk. I mix that all up and enjoy! The matcha gives a caffeine boost that is much milder than espresso or plain drip coffee while the turmeric is an anti-inflammatory, and who doesn't love coconut milk, enough said there. It's really easy and helped me avoid both the afternoon crash that inevitably comes with our crazy life, and rushing into the nearest coffee shop for a fix. Give it a whirl!
