Starting the day off right

Last week I had a realization that I hadn't done so much as 15 ins of working out, really since we came back from Paris, yikes! Usually I try to hit the gym, or go for a run after work, it helps me process the day and calm down and is usually a nice separation rather than just heading straight home. But, the past few weeks have been a bit crazy with work and I haven't felt like working out at eight and getting home at nine or later.

So long story short, I decided to try my hand at working out in the monring. Now, I have never been good at this. typically I like to get up early, but I like to spend that time reading or relaxing before jumping into the day. You may be as shocked as I was to hear that I'm loving it so far! It's only been a week, but it's been really fun. There is something about getting up before everyone else and walking to the gym or going on a run through the city when it's just starting to wake up and dawn is just about to break, it so quite and peaceful (plus the gym isn't as crowded either!) and you go into your day with something already accomplished and one less thing to feel like you have to do or fit in later, and it's one less bag to slug to work.

We'll see how it goes and if I can maintain it, this weekend Will is coming home and we're heading camping and to a wedding (stay tuned for a recap) so I don't think much five am runs will be happening, but I'll have to get back into the swing of it come Monday morning.
